A number of leading artistes and producers from across the country are among major stakeholders expected to participate at this year’s edition of the Ojaja Talent Hunt Show.
The annual entertainment/cultural show organised in honour of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi (Ojaja II), and also to promote new talents, will also have in attendance promoters and owners of music record labels.
In a statement, Project Director of the show, Olasoji Olatunde, said that the event would not only provide a platform for these young talents to announce themselves to the world but also promote the Yoruba culture and also entrench a new order in Nigerian entertainment.
While revealing that cash prizes, a recording deal and scholarship would be handed out to participants during the event, Olatunde said that they would continue to promote quality performances among Nigeria’s emerging show-business stars.
He said, “The Ojaja Talent Hunt which is in honour of the Ooni of Ife, will offer a virile platform for many young and emerging entertainment stars to announce themselves to the world.
“The show will take place in various cities across the country, so as to give more people the chance to excel. We urge young people with talent in this area to take advantage of the event.”
According to Chief Executive Officer, House of Oduduwa, Prince Babajide Fadairo, the talent hunt, which will span across seven Yoruba-speaking states in Nigeria and end in May, will also feature in the United Kingdom and United States of America respectively.
