September 5th marks the Day of Charity, an international UN day that is designated to raise awareness about charity. So what exactly do they mean by charity? The International Day of Charity celebrates both benevolent monetary gifts as well as volunteerism.

When you look at all that charity can do, it may seem like it would be difficult to participate in this special day. But it’s not! You can get involved today by spreading the word on social media: Use your Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts to tell your friends and family about the International Day of Charity. Do you have a good idea for a cause that people can donate to or volunteer for? Great! Share it. Better yet, check out some of the charitable organizations that are already doing a lot of good for people in the in UK and around the world and like or share their posts. Also, don’t forget to use #charityday in your posts in order to join the conversation and see how others are celebrating this special occasion.
