The faces of people present at the Cultural night organized as part of the Nigerian Carnival 2012 says it all that Nigerians are not only fun loving people but most importantly, they are people who value and venerates the culture of their ancestors. The cultural night put together by the duo of Ademokun Aderire Eyo and Kunle Animashaun (who was the MC of the night) had in attendance most of the notable social and cultural groups of Nigerians living in Ireland. The event started off with a beautiful rendition of the Nigerian national anthem by Loretta Adenuga. The MC of the night also gave the people what to expect as he rendered a particular song preaching love, harmony and prosperity in Hausa, Yoruba, Ibo and Calabar language. A moment of silence was held in honor of late Ambassador Segun olusola, the creator of the longest running TV series in Nigeria, ‘the Village Headmaster’. It is worthy to mention the presence of many social and cultural groups in Ireland who turned out in their colorful outfit. Without any doubt, the cultural event lived up to expectations.
