Exactly this time a year ago , Donjazzy dropped the bombshell announcing the end of the Mohits era as it was then. The next was the announcement of the birth of his new record company which he named MAVIN RECORDS on the 8th of May 2012.He promised in his mission statement to make Mavin records label the power house of music production in Africa and to keep giving us good music as he had always done. With this vow coming from a man who is reputed to being an undisputed beat king and super producer, it was a promise that was good as a done deal.

Looking back now from the date that the promise was made and a year after, it is heart warming that it was indeed a promise kept.Within the last one year, Mavin records have released two very commercially successful albums, the maiden album from the label which was a compilation album from the stable titled SOLAR PLEXUS

and the maiden solo album of the label’s flagship arrowhead star D’PRINCE titled FRENZY.

This is in addition to countless singles from the various artistes in the label made up of Wande Coal, Dr. Sid.  Mavin first lady Tiwa Savage and D’prince himself. With the tsunami of hits popping out of mavin studios controlling fair share of airplay both on radio and clubs , one can justifiably say that Donjazzy have given a good account of himself and his hit making capabilities have not been compromised or diminished  by the bitter break up.

To mark the countdown to the Mavin one year anniversary, The music Don have treated his fans to a bonanza of hit singles back to back in the last few weeks to date climaxing with the release of MY BIRTHDAY by D’PRINCE on the eve of the Mavin first anniversary.
